so here it is, a pic I have been working on and off all winter break! I is supposed to be the scene in Mossflower when Martin gets dragged into Kotir for trespassing, i Don't do enough backgrounds, also this was the first time I used a tablet, and it was great! But a little hard to control, this was great practice.
I love that part in the book, but you need more stugaling and a few powned guards. He gave the guards such a hard time that they actually became somewhat afraid of him, and that was after his sward broke. Still love it lots though!
Nice work here.
This looks great
Ah this is wonderful, amazing work on the scenery and you depicted this portion of the book perfectly! The snow-covered stairs are so well done and I really like the taught rope and the character interaction, thank you so much!
Thank you so much! :W00t: this definitely took a long time to put in all the details, but it was a LOT of fun.
Nice! Well done!
Awesome! You really got the perspectives right!
Looks absolutely lovely! The amount of detail and the array of colors is very pleasing. And I do enjoy the way the snow lays on the walls. The only thing that seems a bit awkward are the shadows, but, they don't detract from the piece as a whole much. And I just watched all the episodes from that British-made TV show not days ago, which makes this even more enjoyable!
thank you very much ...truth be told, I was getting tired of working on it by the time I got to the shadows, and I guess I got lazy . I just watched all the cartoon too, It was a flashback to my childhood really, and it's responsible for this whole Redwall drawing spree.
Oh, I just absolutely adore those stories! Even though the show was really watered down, it still captured my attention! Oh, the things I could do with that story universe! I already have a story planned out in my head, which I've been trying to force myself to write, but to no avail! I can see scene after scene, like a comic, before my eyes. But the paper won't take hold.
Heh, heh... they sure had their work cut out with that lad!
Good ol' Martin!
Good ol' Martin!
right? When I read it I was like this is awesome, I must draw now! lol thanks for the comment
There's certainly been a few scenes like that... like me with Gonff meeting Martin in jail - or Dotti facing off with Bucko Bigbones!
one that I wanted to do next was Gonff standing on Martin's shoulders picking the prison locks, But unfortunately school started again and finished works that take a long time become almost imposable, but we'll see maybe I'll come up with something.
That'd be a great scene to depict, yeah... I had it in mind myself, once, but I never got around to it and there's so many other things of my own to work on - animations and cartoons with my original characters!
Brr, that looks cold! Dude, you just get better and better. And I love how you're not afraid to go for the gusto with your art. This is really cool.
This is great!
Outstanding work Kotir! I like all the work you put into the details of the characters, and the snow patches on the brickwork.
ooo, nice background, nice shading, nice perspective! I can't believe this is your first work with the tablet. Wow. I really like your castle walls and doors. Just very cool.
Thanks my tablet is everything I hoped it would, and more
now I want to read Mossflower again.... AGH why in the middle of reading Dealing with Dragons? T^T
I know! I was hoping to finish Mossflower before school started back up, but I ended up reading a whole lot of the Return of the King. there are way too many books that I am right in the middle of.
ahhh i love thoes books! i need to read them again!
Nice backgrounda and overall pic design.
Very nice - the perspective on the background loks very good
